The type PE feeding pumps provide delivery of water with temperatures of 165°C or less into drum and once-through steam boilers.
Structurally, they are horizontal multistage pumps with unilateral disposition of the impellers; they are classed into single-body and two-body kinds.
The type PE 65-40, PE 65-53, PE 150-53, PE 150-63 six-stage single-body pumps are designed for boilers with the steam pressure of 40 kgf/cm2. The flow part is made of cast iron SCh20.
The type PE 90-180, PE 90-110 are designed for supplying feed water to steam-generating units used in working oil fields by steam action on productive oil pools in order to heighten efficiency and yield of mining.
The shaft is supported by two water-cooled sliding bearings. Water cooling of staffing boxes is incorporated in the design. Water is delivered into the sealing unit to condense the vapors of the pumped liquid that might infiltrate through the seal.
The axial force exercised on the shaft is taken by a balancing ring that is made of inoculated cast iron.
