APPLICATION
The type D centrifugal horizontal single-stage double-entry pumps are designed for pumping water and liquids similar to water in viscosity up to 36·10-6 m²/s (36cSt), and chemical activity with temperatures up to 358°K (85°C), with contents of solid inclusions within 0,05 % by weight, not more than 0,2 mm in size.
They are used at urban, industrial and agricultural pump stations supplying water for various purposes, including irrigation and drainage of fields and in other industries.
The ND-type horizontal single-stage double-entry pumps are designed for pumping petroleum products: crude oil, automobile and aircraft petrol and diesel fuel at temperatures from 278°K to 318°K (from 5°C to 45°C).
The CN-type horizontal single-stage double-entry pumps are designed for pumping water as well as jet engine fuel, automobile and aircraft petrol and diesel fuel at temperatures from 258°K to 323°K (from -15°C to 50°C).

DESCRIPTION
The type D, ND, CN pumps are structurally of the same type, they are horizontal, single-stage, with horizontal casing joint and double-entry impeller.
The discharge and suction pipes are located horizontally at the bottom of the pump and directed to the opposite sides at an angle 90° to the pump axis. This pipes layout and horizontal casing joint allow to dismantle, inspect and replace operative parts without taking the pump from the foundation bed and dismantling the electric motor and pipes.
The impeller is put on the shaft with the cotter and fastened by two bowl protectors.
The protection sealing rings are installed for wear protection of the casing, housing and impeller covers.
The pump shaft wheels counter-clockwise (when seen from the side of the electric motor).
Generally, axial forces are balanced by the dual intake of the fluid into the impeller, the remaining axial forces are taken up by the bearing assemblies.
The electric motor is selected depending on the flow, rotation frequency and capacity. The pump and the electric motor are installed on the foundation plate or the bed plate and connected by an elastic coupling.
